Summer Love in the Hill Country
Featured Wedding: Kadi and Cade
Wedding Date: August 1, 2020

The Meet Cute

Cade and I were introduced through a mutual friend at the beginning of our freshman year at Texas A&M University – Kingsville. We met in the school cafeteria.. very romantic I know. After talking for a few hours, we realized we were in the same Chemistry class. Cade very slyly (not really) asked if I could help him with the homework so that we could spend more time together. We sat together in class every day after that and did not pay attention to our professor at all :). On our first date, Cade took me out to the unfinished Beach Volleyball courts and we two-stepped under the stars.

The Proposal

Fast forward about three years… Cade’s family invited me on a ski trip in Utah at the end of December 2019. A few days in we took a gondola up to the top of the mountain to eat lunch with friends and Cade proposed!!! We were taking pictures outside on a balcany, it was snowing like crazy, and he took both of my hands. I thought he wanted to do some sort of weird pose for a picture, but then he started talking about how much he loved me and it finally clicked! Although our fingers just about froze because of the cold, I will never forget when he put the engagement ring on my finger.

Why did you choose Sendera Springs?

I was already impressed with the venue from pictures I had seen, but getting to tour the venue in person made me fall in love with Sendera Springs more! It is romantic, elegant, and comfortable all at the same time.

Advice for Future Couples

Enjoy the process! Although planning can be stressful, don’t let it get the best of you. It is a time to bond with your new family, bring your dreams into a reality, and get married to the love of your life! You should look at it as a celebration because that is what it is.
